A source-checked post-race lead, followed by fresh Formula1.com headlines for the current paddock context.

Kimi Antonelli won the Spanish Grand Prix from Max Verstappen and Lando Norris after 57 laps. The FIA final classification confirms the order, while Formula1.com reports that the victory extended Antonelli’s championship lead.

No fresh post-Monza rumour met the publication threshold on 6 September. The fact-checked status board below remains available so confirmed, denied and genuinely reported items do not blur together.

Formula 1 says Charles Leclerc has signed a new multi-year deal with Ferrari covering the “coming seasons”. Leclerc called his trust in Team Principal Fred Vasseur a big reason for recommitting, closing the latest speculation about a move away from Maranello.

The earlier report of accelerated Alonso–Alpine talks no longer matches the confirmed seat picture: Formula 1 says Alpine has re-signed Franco Colapinto alongside Pierre Gasly. Alonso has also said he is under contract with Aston Martin and “not moving”, while Flavio Briatore said there was “nothing to say”.
Motorsport.com and Autosport report that Esteban Ocon’s seat is under review, with Leonardo Fornaroli and Rafael Câmara among the options. Ocon says his first discussion will be with Haas during a busy summer break; no decision has been announced.
Formula 1’s current driver-market analysis says Max Verstappen has confirmed he is staying with Red Bull through the end of 2030. That supersedes the earlier 2027 exit speculation and contract-clause reports.
Formula 1 confirms that Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon will stay with Williams in 2027. James Vowles says he had worried about losing both drivers during the team’s struggles, but their renewed commitments have lifted a weight from the factory.
Rumours can change or be disproved without warning. GP Weekender does not treat a driver-market claim as confirmed until a team, driver or authorised representative says so publicly.
