Formula 1 returns from the summer break at Zandvoort on 21–23 August 2026 for the circuit’s final scheduled Dutch Grand Prix. The promoter lists Saturday and Sunday as sold out as of 10 August, while Super Friday and GOLD+ remain available; ticket availability can change.

A short editorial digest of the stories moving through the paddock. Every item is marked as reported, unconfirmed or denied, so speculation does not quietly turn into fact.

GrandPrix.com, via Autosport Web, reports that talks with Alpine have accelerated and links Alonso’s choice to possible moves for Franco Colapinto and Carlos Sainz. Alonso says he has an Aston Martin contract for 2027 and is “not moving”; Flavio Briatore says Alonso is happy there and there is “nothing to say”. No negotiation or switch has been confirmed.

Motorsport.com reports that Cadillac is closely monitoring Ferrari junior Rafael Câmara as it assesses its 2027 options. The team has stressed long-term backing for Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas, and no driver change has been announced.
Motorsport.com and Autosport report that Esteban Ocon’s seat is under review, with Leonardo Fornaroli and Rafael Câmara among the options. Ocon says his first discussion will be with Haas during a busy summer break; no decision has been announced.
ESPN reports that performance clauses can provide a route out of Verstappen’s Red Bull deal, while Formula 1 has documented the McLaren links. Verstappen says “there’s nothing to say” about the reports, and no move has been announced.
Carlos Sainz says he will sit down with Williams during the summer break because the team’s route back to winning form is taking longer than expected. He remains confident in the project, has given no decision date and has not confirmed a move elsewhere.
Rumours can change or be disproved without warning. GP Weekender does not treat a driver-market claim as confirmed until a team, driver or authorised representative says so publicly.
